Ultraviolet waste water treatment is an environmentally friendly way of disinfecting water discharged to rivers, streams and coastal areas. Micro-organisms are destroyed through the action of germicidal light and there is no need for residence tanks. UV transmitting quartz sleeves are immersed in the full flow of the effluent discharge following the pre-treatment stage. Fouled sleeves are cleaned regularly through a fully automatic wiping system.

The DaRo UV Systems’ modules do not require acid polishing or other back-up cleaning and are therefore particularly suited to unmanned schemes.
